Joy to the World! The Lord is come

Since I was an 8-year old boy, this has been my favorite Christmas song.  Let's take a second look at Isaac Watts' stalwart Church standard.  Just what message does this hymn guide The Church to express?

If you forgot how the music goes, you can refresh your memory here  http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/j/o/joyworld.htm

Words: Isaac Watts (1674-1748), 1719
Music: Antioch (George Frederick Handel, 1685-1759, arranged Lowell Mason, 1792-1872)

Joy to the world! the Lord is come:-- [present tense, now: we are not waiting for the Lord Jesus to Come Back]
let earth receive her King; --------- [but King Jesus is waiting for you to receive Him now through personal faith]
let every heart prepare him room,--[He is waiting for you to prepare Him room now by obeying His words - the Good News]
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.

Joy to the world! the Savior reigns;---[present tense, now: the Savior reigns over the affairs of men, not the devil]
let us our songs employ,
while fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
repeat the sounding joy,
repeat the sounding joy,
repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,----[He has already Come Back with Salvation to put a stop to each of our sins & sorrows]
nor thorns infest the ground; -----------[He is blessing us now with the ability to make all things truly productive]
he comes to make his blessings flow---[His blessings are available to us via faith here and now - not in the sweet by-n-by]
far as the curse is found,---------------[There is no place where His blessings are not prepared to flow by faith now]
far as the curse is found,
far as, far as the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,-[present tense, now:  He rules the world right now - not Nazi's, Communists nor savages]
and makes the nations prove-------[He works through history to teach governments lessons]
the glories of his righteousness,---[And those that are learning His righteousness are experiencing glories]
and wonders of his love,-----------[Is it any wonder that Christianized nations are the most desirable in which to live?]
and wonders of his love,
and wonders, wonders of his love.
